Going Away Party!

Last night we had a going away/early birthday party because I will be in Africa for my birthday. We made a ton of food and embraced Cinco de Mayo and made tacos. My cousin from Charlotte came up and my sister and her boyfriend came over. It was so much fun! I am truly blessed to have such an amazing family. I love spending time with them.

 I made a cake that ended up looking really good, if I do say so myself. I wanted it to be an animal themed cake. The bottom layer was chocolate/vanilla so that it would look like a zebra, the middle layer was peanut butter/chocolate to look like a cheetah and the top was Funfetti...just because I like it. When it came to frosting it it was harder than I thought. It took me about 4 hours to decorate. It was so tedious but I really enjoyed doing it. Plus, it went really well with all the animal theme decorations we got. 

It occurred to me last night that in 2 days I will be going to Charlotte and I have to be ready. It is slightly intimidating. I feel like I should have been preparing much sooner. But I know I will get everything done.
